Amanda’s late beloved personal working partner “Milo”, an Australian Shepherd was one of the top herding dogs in the country for the 2009-2010 year.

Amanda Farnsworth has been a successful dog trainer for over 17 years, with a focus on herding dogs and confidence building of both dogs and their handlers. 
Amanda is a well rounded trainer who has successfully trained a variety of breeds, from basics to dogs with serious behavioral issues. 
Amanda specializes in training herding dogs to manage livestock in a calm controlled manner. She has been sent dogs to train from all over the US and Canada.
Her client dogs and handler teams successfully compete on a national level as well as become useful farm hands. Many of her K9 students managing upwards of 1500 sheep at a time. Amanda continues to compete and handle across the United States as well as throughout Canada. 


 
Her personal mission is to create unbreakable working relationships with owners and their dogs based off of mutual trust and respect. Amanda believes every dog is different and requires different training methods to bring out the best in each dog, instead of making it conform to the mold we think it should be. Her teaching methods are to encourage each team and challenge them when needed to help them shine. She wants each dog and their person to look forward to training by creating a positive and fun learning environment!
